Where to begin... General Experience: Most of the front desk staff left a lot to be desired. When checking in, our party of 10 had 3 rooms booked that were supposed to be together. 2 of the rooms were relatively close, but our room was in the "other building". They had no maps and told us to wait for a bell boy. 15 minutes later, still no bell boy. This was at 11pm with 2 little girls. When we tried to walk to find it, we stumbled across Club Bravo, which we thought was another resort. Went back to the front dest and just asked for general directions, and I got a blank stare and directions to wait for the bell boy, all while there was another hotel employee just leaning on the counter talking to the receptionist. Eventually, my daughters and I had to use the rest room, and while we were in there, the bellboy showed up and my husband said we would be right back, so he proceeded to take someone else - when if he had have just loaded our luggage, we would have been back when he was finished. Now I'm FRUSTRATED and I said we had no problem walking and if they could just give us some sort of directions, we could find our own way. She then proceeded to take a cell phone call. I've managed customer service for 15 years, this would never fly with me. Completely unacceptable. Eventually (1.5hrs after arriving) we were finally shown to our room which we had to be driven to...yes, driven. Turns out our room is almost a KM from the main desk and is in the Club Bravo part. Now I'm more confused as to why the front desk couldn't have just said "your in Club Bravo", or why couldn't the guy at the front desk (who happened to be wearing a club bravo shirt) just wasting time couldn't have shown us? We get in, and it has 1 king and 1 (unmade) cot. We have 2 adults, a 9 year old and a 6 year old...we ask the bellboy about having the bed made up, and he said he will have a maid sent right away. Right away is an hour later... 12:30am - after we have finally got the girls settled and starting to fall asleep in the king with us. The floor was disgusting (see pictures) not dirt, but some sort of epoxy that felt like sandpaper. No hot water in the shower - not even luke warm, just cold. And we had paid for a oceanview, and this was a garden view. (Not that this would have been a big deal if we had have all been out there, and the rooms were nice) The next day, our sunwing rep was able to get us the room beside my parents that was oceanview, so our family was together. But still only one cot in the second room, so we had to make a bed for our younger using the cushions from the chairs. Also, they do not give you blankets for the cots. Only a sheet. And the king only has a thin coverlet, but you are provided 1 wool blanket in the cupboard, so if you have children, bring your own blankets. Food: as with most cuban resorts, it leaves a lot to be desired. Dont waste your time doing the 'Italian' a la Carte unless you get the risotto. Anything with red/bolognese sauce seems like it is just tomato soup with too much salt. We all went to the buffet after as most of the food wasnt even edible. We spoke to some other guests that did the same. The 'spanish' one faired better. Not amazing, but definitely better than the Italian and the buffet. The fresh stations at the buffets are good, but the food in the warming plates are always cold. Its hit or miss daily on the food. The stuff you liked yesterday is bad today - possibly stale and reheated? There was only 2 days where the baked goods seemed fresh. Last point on food - if you can get an actual hamburger from the pool snack bar, it is the best thing to eat there! But they run out for the week QUICK. Seems like you can only get them on Saturdays. Beach/pools: beautiful white sand, and it is shallow far out. The entrance to the water is very shelly though, so if you have sensitive feet, bring water shoes. This is a beach resort, so if you want lounge chairs, get there early. Pools are quiet as most people are at the beach. No complaints there! Bottom line - would not stay here again.

We checked in here on january 7th 2020 front reception was very friendly and helpful upon arrival, the rooms were clean and very comfortable beds, we didnt have an ocean view but we barely spent time in the room anyways. The pool bar staff was very nice and friendly Jose was my favorite bartender, very nice always smiling and goes above and beyond to help. The bravo club bar by the volleyball court was really nice too dayanna was super nice and respectful and tried her best all the time. Me and my brother spent lots of time playing volleyball and making friends at the bravo club Jose and denis are awesome they are really friendly and will teach and help you learn the game i find everyone here is always smiling. The Cohiba bar staff was also very nice Eliuska is my favorite bartender there she is very knowledgable and goes above and beyond to ensure everyone is happy, every night they have a disco dance party at the bravo disco club javier is my favorite there he is so friendly and awesome and an really outgoing personality he tries his best every day he is always smiling and having a good time with you, this place is a definite recommendation I will definitely come back here again drinking cuba libres by the beach which is a spectacular view btw and enjoy my time. Alexis is the dance instructor hes very charismatic and outgoing his happiness is contagious he is always super excited about everything and a very good teacher I learned how to salsa and had a blast. The only thing they need to work on is the food I mean the food is good, I only ate the chicken and pasta the whole time I was there. The pool side snack bar has good sandwiches and I reccomend trying them. This was an amazing trip and I'm grateful I chose this place.

Amusement with customers in the club every morning and afternoon is fun after the evening you can add some fun to the club show. Thanks to Roxana and Melisa
